This is a totally different video than I usually do, ditching the production value, and just talking about something really important that has come up with a few colleagues and friends.

There’s nothing you need to be practicing.

There's nothing you should know.

Learning theory and doing drills can sometimes distract us from our connection to music.

When learning something new, ask yourself:

Is that something I want to do?

Is that part of my north star?

Make sure that you’re connected to music that you love, that you're listening to music that you're inspired by, and that your love for music is what drives you to learn and practice.
